A properly working and adjusted carburetor extends the life of the engine of your classic car. It is therefore important to have the operation of your carburettors checked on a regular basis.

Carburetor overhaul or adjustment is specialist work. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to carburettors for classic cars. There is a specific carburetor for every brand and often type of classic car, whether that is a classic Volvo, Jaguar, Austin Healey, Open, Jaguar, MG, Triumph, etc.

There are many brands of carburetors such as Strombergh, Weber, SU or Solex and within these brands of carburetors there are also many differences. This is partly because the carburettor has undergone enormous development over the years.

In short: if you are not a specialist, if you do not have all the equipment and if you want to extend the life of the engine of your classic car while driving as economically and comfortably as possible, then you would do well to go to a specialist who has experience in the different carburettors and classic cars.
