Saab 96 GL (V4 Super) Special 'Limited Edition', year 1979.
Colour light blue metallic combined with a cognac brown cloth/vinyl interior and matching carpet. This Saab 96 Special 'Limited Edition' was sold new in the Netherlands.
The Saab 96 'limited edition' was introduced to commemorate 25 years of Saab being imported to the Netherlands (1954-1979). Only 150 examples of this 96 Special model were produced. All cars have a plaque on the dashboard; this car is number 36.
This Saab 96 is in exceptionally good and super original condition! The bodywork and paint are in excellent condition, and the very good original interior shows only minor signs of wear.
The engine compartment is clean and beautifully detailed. The original alloy Saab "soccer ball" wheels have been beautifully restored.
The 68-hp Ford V4 engine runs perfectly, the 4-speed transmission with steering column shifting works precisely, and the car drives superbly!
This is a rare and desirable example!
