Aston Martin DB2/4 MkIII
|
Aston Martin DB2/4 MkIII
€ 195.000,=
Year: 1958
Aston Martin DB2/4 MK III from 1958.
Dark blue with blue interior.
This Aston Martin Mk3 is in excellent condition.
The history is well documented. The complete history can be found in AMOC's personalized blue book.
The DB Mark III was never a cheap car, at the time it was even one of the most expensive cars available.
With this model, Aston Martin's sports car reputation was created.
This is due to its reliability, excellent handling and performance.
Tickford designer Bert Thickpenny designed this model, introducing the DB3S-style grille, which immediately created the distinctive look of the subsequent Aston Martins DB4, DB5 and DB6.
This new front compared to the previous DB2/4 models gives the car a more imposing appearance.
The interior also featured a redesigned dashboard with instruments grouped in a panel in front of the driver instead of in the center.
The beautiful wooden steering wheel is also very recognizable for the classic Aston Martins.
The famous 6 cylinder engine benefited from an extensive redesign by Tadek Marek and has, among other things, a stiffer engineblock, a stronger crankshaft and a new cylinder head with larger valves. The version with the double exhaust has 178 hp.
Despite the inevitable weight gain, the Mark III was faster than all its predecessors.
This Mk3 has only 2 owners in the last 50 years and has been registered in Belgium since 2010 after being imported from England.
The 2.9 ltr. engine now has about 185 bhp after it was completely overhauled 5 years ago and slightly tuned with different camshafts.
The suspension, exhaust and brakes were also recently renewed.
This Aston was repainted a few years ago in the original color Pacific Blue.
The blue interior is still for 75% original.
All dashboard instruments are original and function perfectly.
The paint is extremely beautiful, the door openings are excellent and all the small details are correct and in perfect condition.
Looking at the small details, the car has been very well preserved.
The chrome on the car is excellent. No signs of wear or pitting.
The original Tickford badges are still present on both sides.
The MK3 stands on 16" painted spoke wheels with good Vredestein Sprint Classic tires
The DB2/4 has a generous amount of interior space and ample luggage space.
The car drives very well and is easy to drive with more then sufficient engine power.
The appearance of the Aston is sublime. The car attracts attention not only because of its fantastic sound, but also because of its excellent colour combination and dark spoke wheels.
Only 551 of this classic Aston Martin Mk3 were produced between 1957 and 1959.
A beautiful English classic.
This Aston Martin can only be seen by appointment.

Only 802 examples of the Aston Martin DBS series 1 were built, these cars are a great piece of Aston Martin and David Brown heritage.

MG A 1600 Roadster
€ 28.000,=
Year: 1960
MGA 1600 roadster, year 1960.
Colour red (Orient Red) combined with a red leather interior trimmed with black carpet.
Black vinyl soft top.
The automobile is very well maintained, serviced and kept over the decades, this MGA 1600 is in a very good condition and the car drives delightfully.
Up to the 1950s MG leaned heavily on the prewar MG T series which was a great success amongst American soldiers returning home to the USA. In the USA small sports cars were unknown before WW2 and the MG was the British sports car the Americans loved first.
The sleek design of the MGA was inspired by the MG Le Mans racing car which was designed by Sid Evener on an MG TD chassis in 1951. The glorious MGA design can keep up with the best created by the famous Italian designers of the period and is one of the purest and most stylish British car designs ever conceived.
This wonderful example shows wonderful original details and is fitted with chrome wire wheels, a chrome baggage rack, chrome wing mounted rear view mirrors, a Stainless-Steel exhaust, an electric cooling fan, and disc brakes on the front wheels (original fitment). Additionally, a sports steering wheel with wood rim and a small er diameter is fitted. The original steering wheel is with the car.

€ 33.500,=
Year: 1957
MGA 1500 roadster, year 1957.
Colour Glacier blue combined with a grey leather interior, grey carpet and a grey tonneau cover.
This wonderful MGA 1500 roadster is in an excellent top condition and the car drives perfectly!
The car was extensively restored in the years 2020 – 2022.
The MGA is in our eyes the most beautiful MG design ever. The design dates to 1951, when MG designer Syd Enever created a streamlined body for an MG TD Le Mans car.
As successor of the MG TF the MGA was presented in 1955 as “first of a new line” sporting a sleek, modern, and super attractive bodywork, a comfortable ride, and excellent roadholding capabilities.
The MGA was a great success for MG, not only commercially, but also in the rally and racing competitions. Three MGA prototypes were entered in the 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Two of the cars finished the race placing 12th and 17th overall, proving the worth of the new car. In the USA the MGA won numerous regional and national championships in the Sports Car Club of America competitions, and the MGA was raced in NASCAR from 1960 until 1963.
You may not have these sporting ambitions, but it is always nice to know the pedigree and capabilities of the classic sports car you are going to enjoy on the nicest roads you can find!

Riley 9 Brooklands Racing History
|
Riley 9 Brooklands Racing History
€ 99.500,=
Year: 1928
Riley 9 Brooklands, year 1928.
Chassis (VIN) number 8021, engine number 2007. Original British registration number AZ 1189.
Colour blue combined with a light blue chassis and silver painted wire wheels.
Only about 100 Riley 9 Brooklands cars were built, and this Riley 9 Brooklands comes with a complete and very interesting history.
On 30 March 1928 the car was ordered by Leslie Porter Ltd. from Belfast and the car was delivered on 20 July 1928 to Mr. William Paige Noble. Mr. Noble participated in the legendary Tourist Trophy (Ards TT circuit Belfast) which was held on 18 August 1928.
The Riley 9 participated the race under entry number 11. After attaining second place in lap fifteen Noble crashed the Riley at Newtownards breaking the rear axle.
Noble kept the Riley until 14 February 1935 when the car was sold to Hedge End Motors Ltd in Southampton. The car has spent the pre-WW2 years with owners living in the vicinity of the banked Brooklands racetrack in Weybridge near London.
The war years were spent with an owner in Cheshire. After WW2 the Riley spent most years with owners in the Liverpool area.
Between 1949 and 1955 the Riley was owned by Neville Pierce of Stamford Service Station in Holywell North Wales. Pierce had the Riley extensively refurbished and modified for racing purposes.
The Riley was fitted with a more powerful 1496 cc Riley engine, a Armstrong-Siddeley four-speed preselector gearbox, sturdier axles, bigger drum brakes, and new hubs with “knock on” wheel nuts.
These parts were derived from a 1935 Riley 12/4 Kestrel.
In this post war period (club) racing was resumed, and prewar racing cars were recommissioned and made competitive again.
The British Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) considers the alterations made to the car as period modifications. A VSCC eligibility document is present. Because of the extensive modifications this Riley 9 Brooklands can be seen as a modified “racing special”.
The last British owner had the car in possession from 1959 until his death in 2011.
This Mr. J.A. (Jim) Trotter raced the Riley in the VSCC club competitions.
In 2011 the Riley was sold to a Dutchman who had the car garaged by a British friend. The Riley is still registered in the United Kingdom. This Riley 9 Brooklands comes with a very extensive history file, including a list of all the owners from 1928 until 1957 (made by the Lancashire County Council in October 1957), and a taxes registration book listing further owners up to Mr. J.A. Trotter.
Despite the complete documentation, the history is not entirely without problems.
There is another Riley 9 (fitted with a “Le Mans” type bodywork) known with chassis 8021, but without known history.
The existence of this car was brought to the attention of Mr. Trotter in the 1980s. Correspondence from 1987 between the owner of that chassis and Mr. Trotter is also included in the documentation.
Mr. Trotter purchased the AZ1189 with its complete and documented history in 1959, when the car was demonstrably known as 8021, and there was no reason to cheat at that time. A letter from the late Barbara Farquhar (an authority on Riley Brooklands authenticity born 1924 – died 2015) confirms that this Riley 9 Brooklands must be considered as the authentic Riley 9 Brooklands with chassis 8021 which is registered as AZ 1189. This letter is also part of the documentation.
So here we have a fantastic 96-year-old Riley 9 Brooklands racing car with proven pre-war racing provenance in the 1928 Ards-TT, a long and unbroken line of pre- and post-war owners, made race ready and competitive again in the 1950s with Riley 12/4 components, and raced in VSCC club events up to the early years 2000.
An important historic Riley racing car with a magnificent history covering almost 100 years!

Volvo TP21 Sugga
|
Volvo TP21 Sugga
€ 16.950,=
Year: 1957
1957 Volvo TP21 with European import documents.
Driving condition but with a bad body.
Nice project to restore a very special car.
In the Netherlands, one has already been converted to electric drive!
The Volvo TP21 was based on a shortened Volvo truck chassis that was then equipped with a modified version of the all-steel body used on the Volvo PV831 sedan, a vehicle that was often used as a taxi in Sweden. The name "Sugga" came from the Swedish word for "sow", a female pig, based on the appearance of the PV831. The nickname would follow the body and also be applied to the TP21 4×4.
The power was provided by the Volvo 3.67 liter flathead inline-six engine with a Rochester carburetor. This produced 90 hp at 3,600 rpm, which gave a top speed of 65 mph, although the vehicle was rarely driven at these speeds.
Power was sent back through a four-speed unsynchronized manual transmission and a two-range transfer case. The transfer case offered both high and low ranges, and the Sugga was equipped with vacuum-locking front and rear axles that rode on leaf springs.
As was common at the time, drum brakes were used front and rear and the vehicle used a six-volt electrical system, although the military radio system had a 12-volt circuit to power the radio system and a large aerial.
720 military versions of the Sugga were made, as staff cars, troop transporters and radio vehicles - the latter were called Radiopersonterrängbil in Swedish, or "radio vehicles for across the country". It is said that the Swedish Armed Forces kept a few examples of the Sugga in active use until the 1990s, an exceptionally long lifespan.
Now the remaining examples are all in private hands or in museums, and we rarely see good examples for sale. > Read more
