Morgan Plus 4, year 2006.
Finished in black with a red leather interior trimmed with black piping and black carpeting piped in red. Equipped with a black soft top and aluminium side screens with black door covers.
This handsome Morgan Plus 4 was delivered new in Germany.
With 42,000 kilometres recorded, the car moved to the Netherlands in 2015. It has now covered 73,000 kilometres from new, with the service history documented from 2015 onwards.
The car is in excellent and perfectly maintained condition! Under the bonnet lies the superb 2.0 litre Ford Duratec four cylinder engine, supplied by Ford’s Special Equipment division.
This refined 16 valve DOHC unit produces 144 hp and 190 Nm of torque, giving the 920 kg Plus 4 lively and engaging performance. In 2016, the original kingpins and Vesconite bushes were replaced with hard chromed kingpins and brass bushes, a durable upgrade expected to last for many decades. The interior is beautifully appointed with a magnificent walnut dashboard, classic gauges with ivory coloured dials and chrome bezels, and traditional toggle switches.
The red dash top and the Moto Lita steering wheel with leather rim complete the wonderfully classic and sporty presentation. The lower section of the dashboard was moved slightly rearwards, and a shield was fitted beneath the dashboard and steering column.
The 12V cigarette lighter has been relocated to outside the glove compartment, and the battery master switch has been discreetly installed inside it. For improved visibility, Daytime Running Lights have been fitted. Reaction rods have been installed at the rear axle, and a protective plate has been mounted beneath the car to safeguard the crossmember and gearbox.
Further features include wide chrome wire wheels fitted with Continental 205/60 R15 V tyres, and an original luggage rack that can be easily mounted or removed. This is a magnificent Morgan Plus 4 in excellent condition; a car that drives and feels like new!
