Land Rover 88, series 2 from 1958.
White with beige and black upholstery. With a new beige soft top.
This 88 has been in the Netherlands since new.
The last owner bought the car over 25 years ago.
After that, this Land Rover was completely restored to its current state.
The series 2 models can be recognized by the recessed grille with the 2 large headlights.
The original 2.0 liter engine has been replaced by a 2.25 liter from a series 3.
Furthermore, the car is completely according to the specifications of a series 2 model.
This well-known and reliable 4 cylinder engine performs very well.
The gearbox with the long lever shifts as it should.
As soon as you step into this classic Land Rover, you immediately get the feeling of freedom and adventure.
The interior is very spartan but in good condition. Just like the dashboard with the original switches. On the floor we see the extra handles for operating the transfer case. There is room for 3 in the front and for 4 in the back, with the folding seats.
The spare wheel on the hood, the steps at the doors and the step at the back also indicate that it is a classic Land Rover.
A spare wheel is mounted in the back of this Land Rover. This can be easily removed.
The body of this 88 has no rust and the paint is very nice. Just like the large wheels in the same color.
